What customers say?

“ Love this park cafe...lots of choice...cakes hot n cold food ice creams. Drinks. Dog friendly, lots of out door seating...& some inside... Friendly, good access for all, walking, disabled, families & pushchairs. Looks over Darley park & the Derwent river. Near to the toilets & walled gardens. ”

“ Nice little cafe, only gripe is the no card policy. Many is the time I've been walking through the park and would've stopped for breakfast or a snack, but couldn't as don't carry cash. Never mind. Always been lovely though, when I've had a couple of £ in my pocket to buy a drink. ”

- Karen Hall -

“ Fairly small but incredibly popular cafe. Large outdoor seating area, although it's not covered; however, there's also indoor seating should it be raining. Sells hot and cold drinks, breakfast style cobs, burgers, chips and cold cobs alongside cakes and really nice ice cream. Ice cream is excellent and really creamy, the sausage and egg cob was far bigger than expected and for £3.80 pretty good value for money. Eat in or takeaway. Unfortunately it's cash only. ”

“ Whilst the park itself is great, the tearoom is stuck in the 80's. It's great if you like that sort of thing and it was quaint but my biggest complaint would be that it was cash only. I don't know if it was because card payments was down or if they just don't have it as an option but if they don't accept card payments then that is unacceptable, it's 2025 not 1985! ”

“ Superb little cafe to stop at on my dog walk. Great coffee and I purchased dog treats as well. The Marth loved them so much, I went back and bought more ( please if you read this , can you tell me where you got the strips from as more chewy thanks ) ”

“ A beautiful place to walk your dog, with plenty of places to have refreshments. A stunning location ”

“ Very lovely place. There is a mini store where I got this small ice cream. And it's very nice ”

“ This is a lovely location to enjoy a light, outdoor lunch or a scone and a cup of tea in the sunshine surrounded by beautiful parkland. It is a popular location for dogwalkers to take a break. The only criticism I have is about about the generosity of the staff. My fruit and cherry scone had more than half and inch of butter slathered over it (enough to give my cardiologist a heart attack). It was a lovely scone once the excess cholesterol had been scraped off. ”
